Note: Unit pictured is representative of standard unit and may not exactly depict p/n B12Lx40/1P-SC-S 4x1 1/4"&28U(27) as shown on this page.
This is the 40-plate B12: SWEP designation B12Lx40/1P-SC-S 4x1 1/4"&28U(27). Its L plates are the low-theta pattern: less pressure drop per plate, and correspondingly more plates for the same duty. Reading the string: /1P is single pass; -SC is 316/316L stainless steel plates joined with copper. The closing S is the pressure class: 31 bar at 155 C. It is catalogued with 4x1 1/4"&28U(27) connections. The B12 plate pack measures 287 x 117 mm (11.3 x 4.61 in) on 234 x 63 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 40-plate unit comes to about 4.6 kg (10.2 lb) dry. The frame is published to 16.9 m3/h (74.41 GPM) - a port limit rather than a design flow. Where a nameplate is worn, the plate count and the connection sizes are usually enough to seperate this build from its neighbours in the series.
