Equipment supplied is warranted against defects in manufacture and materials for twelve months from the date of installation, and in no case longer than fifteen months from the date of delivery.

The warranty covers manufacturing and material defects. It does not cover fouling, freezing, corrosion caused by fluids outside the specified duty, damage from operation outside the stamped pressure and temperature ratings, or damage caused during installation.

Freezing is worth calling out separately, because it is the failure most often reported as a defect. A brazed plate pack has nowhere to put the expansion when water freezes inside it, and the resulting split is not recoverable. Fit a filter, a freeze thermostat and a flow switch, and use antifreeze where the evaporating temperature approaches the freezing point.
