The smallest frames in the SWEP range - single-digit to eighteen gallons a minute, in packages under 500 mm tall. Appliance duty, small hydronic loops, and the three sizes rated for transcritical CO2.
These are the compact frames, and the choice between them is mostly a question of port size and how many plates each will take. A small frame with a long plate pack and a slightly larger frame with a short one can carry the same duty; they differ in pressure drop, in internal volume, and in where the connections land on the existing piping.
Read the published maximum flow as the limit of the ports, not as a design point. On a new duty, give the plate count room before stepping up a frame, since extra plates tighten the approach temperture and ease the pumping together. Units this small tend to get hung on their own pipework - support the lines so the connections carry no load. Tell us the duty and both fluids and we will come back with the frame, how many plates, and the class.

The small frames also come as tap-water, AsyMatrix and double-wall models, plus a few earlier designations that still turn up on nameplates. Each one below has a page of its own.
