Refrigeration is SWEP's home ground. Evaporators, condensers, economizers and cascade exchangers across commercial racks, supermarket CO2 systems and ammonia plant - with pressure classes to 140 bar for transcritical R744 and copper-free builds for NH3. The refrigerant list decides the frame family before the capacity does.
Evaporator, condenser, economizer, desuperheater: commercial refrigeration puts the brazed plate exchanger to work in all four, and the Commercial Refrigeration page treats them one at a time.
Supermarket CO2 systems are selected on pressure first. Transcritical duty needs the U pressure class, and the Supermarket CO2 Systems page lists the frames built to carry it.
For ammonia the construction is settled before sizing begins: the unit has to be copper free, either nickel brazed or All-Stainless. The Ammonia Plant page sets out which builds apply.
Send the refrigerant, the duty point and the compressor arrangement. Refrigeration selections turn on charge, pressure class and distribution, and those are exactly the details we quote against.

Refrigeration is where the range is most differentiated. A single-phase exchanger moves heat between two liquids; a refrigerant unit has to distribute a boiling or condensing fluid evenly across every channel in the pack.
Commercial refrigeration, supermarket CO2 and ammonia plant - three refrigerant worlds with three different construction answers from one plate technology.
R410A duty lives in the H class at 45 bar; transcritical CO2 needs the U class at up to 140 bar, which SWEP's R744 frames carry from the brazed pack alone, without an external frame. Check the stamped rating on the build, not the class letter.
NH3 attacks copper braze, so ammonia duty goes to the nickel-brazed and All-Stainless frames - B8T at small size, B221 and B222 at plant scale.
A copper-brazed look-alike in ammonia service fails early and messily.
A2L and A3 refrigerants carry charge limits written in kilograms, and every liter of exchanger hold-up counts against them.
Asymmetric and AsyMatrix packs exist to shrink exactly that number.
Commercial refrigeration uses brazed plate exchangers in four roles - evaporator, condenser, economizer and desuperheater - and each one is a different problem in refrigerant distribution.
