The busiest part of the range. Most commercial hydronic, domestic hot water and light process duty lands here, and so does the most widely stocked frame SWEP makes.
Several frames in this middle band overlap on flow, so capacity will not pick between them. Plate pattern, channel volume and the materials in the pack will: an H plate buys heat transfer at the cost of pressure drop, an L plate does the reverse, and the material code decides which fluids the unit can carry.
Do not size to the maximum flow figure - the ports set it, and a working duty normally sits below it. Before moving up a frame, see what more plates on the smaller one would do; the longer pack usually closes the approach temperture and takes less pump head. A duty close to the bottom or top of the band should be run against the neighboring band as well. Give us flows, temperatures and fluids, and the answer names the frame, the number of plates and the pressure class.

Beyond the frame sizes above, these SWEP models sit in the same flow band: evaporator versions, an All-Stainless build, double-wall and Sealix units. Each has its own page with dimensions, materials and part numbers.
