Description
Part number B12Lx40 is the SWEP B12 frame carrying 40 plates. Its L plates are the low-theta pattern: less pressure drop per plate, and correspondingly more plates for the same duty. The B12 plate pack measures 287 x 117 mm (11.3 x 4.61 in) on 234 x 63 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 40-plate unit comes to about 4.6 kg (10.2 lb) dry. The frame is published to 16.9 m3/h (74.41 GPM) - a port limit rather than a design flow. For a new duty, send the inlet temperture on each side and the flows, and we will say immediately whether this plate count is the right one.
