Description
B16Hx100 designates a SWEP B16 brazed plate heat exchanger with 100 plates in the pack. Its H plates are the high-theta pattern - the choice when the leaving temperature is tight and the pump has head to spare. The B16 plate pack measures 376 x 119 mm (14.8 x 4.69 in) on 320 x 63 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 100-plate unit comes to about 13.5 kg (29.7 lb) dry. The frame is published to 16.9 m3/h (74.41 GPM) - a port limit rather than a design flow. If the flow on either side would exceed the published ceiling, the answer is a larger frame, not more plates on this one.
