Description
B16Hx40 designates a SWEP B16 brazed plate heat exchanger with 40 plates in the pack. Its H plates are the high-theta pattern - the choice when the leaving temperature is tight and the pump has head to spare. The B16 plate pack measures 376 x 119 mm (14.8 x 4.69 in) on 320 x 63 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 40-plate unit comes to about 6.3 kg (13.8 lb) dry. Maximum flow for the frame is 16.9 m3/h (74.41 GPM); that is a ceiling for the ports, not a duty point. It is not necessary to send drawings for a like-for-like replacement - the string above carries the whole build.
