Note: Unit pictured is representative of standard unit and may not exactly depict p/n B25THx40/1P-SC-M 4x1"&22U as shown on this page.
This is the 40-plate B25T: SWEP designation B25THx40/1P-SC-M 4x1"&22U. The H plate is the obtuse chevron: it gives the most heat transfer per plate and the most pressure drop, so it suits duties where approach temperature matters more than pump head. The /1P-SC fields read as single pass, with 316/316L stainless steel plates and a copper braze. The closing M is the pressure class: up to 45 bar at 135 C, fatigue tested. It is catalogued with 4x1"&22U connections. The B25T plate pack measures 526 x 119 mm (20.71 x 4.69 in) on 479 x 72 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 40-plate unit comes to about 9.2 kg (20.3 lb) dry. The frame is published to 9 m3/h (39.63 GPM) - a port limit rather than a design flow. If the flow on either side would exceed the published ceiling, the answer is a larger frame, not more plates on this one.
