B26Hx30

B26Hx30 designates a SWEP B26 brazed plate heat exchanger with 30 plates in the pack. The H plate is the obtuse chevron: it gives the most heat transfer per plate and the most pressure drop, so it suits duties where approach temperature matters more than pump head. The B26 plate pack measures 376 x 119 mm (14.8 x 4.69 in) on 329 x 72 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 30-plate unit comes to about 5.0 kg (11.0 lb) dry. The frame is published to 11.3 m3/h (49.75 GPM) - a port limit rather than a design flow. For a new duty, send the inlet temperature on each side and the flows, and we will say immediatly whether this plate count is the right one.
