Note: Unit pictured is representative of standard unit and may not exactly depict p/n B28Hx56/1P-SC-S 4x1 1/4"(D24.70) as shown on this page.
This is the 56-plate B28: SWEP designation B28Hx56/1P-SC-S 4x1 1/4"(D24.70). The H plate is the obtuse chevron: it gives the most heat transfer per plate and the most pressure drop, so it suits duties where approach temperature matters more than pump head. Reading the string: /1P is single pass; -SC is 316/316L stainless steel plates joined with copper. The closing S is the pressure class: 31 bar at 155 C. The connection field reads 4x1 1/4"(D24.70). The B28 plate pack measures 526 x 119 mm (20.71 x 4.69 in) on 470 x 63 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 56-plate unit comes to about 11.2 kg (24.8 lb) dry. Maximum flow for the frame is 16.9 m3/h (74.41 GPM); that is a ceiling for the ports, not a duty point. Where a nameplate is worn, the plate count and the connection sizes are usually enough to seperate this build from its neighbours in the series.
