Note: Unit pictured is representative of standard unit and may not exactly depict p/n B85Hx140/1P-SC-M 4x1 1/4"&28U as shown on this page.
This is the 140-plate B85: SWEP designation B85Hx140/1P-SC-M 4x1 1/4"&28U. The H plate is the obtuse chevron: it gives the most heat transfer per plate and the most pressure drop, so it suits duties where approach temperature matters more than pump head. The /1P-SC fields read as single pass, with 316/316L stainless steel plates and a copper braze. The closing M is the pressure class: up to 45 bar at 135 C, fatigue tested. Connections are listed as 4x1 1/4"&28U, in port order. The B85 plate pack measures 526 x 119 mm (20.71 x 4.69 in) on 470 x 63 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 140-plate unit comes to about 21.2 kg (46.8 lb) dry. Maximum flow for the frame is 17 m3/h (74.85 GPM); that is a ceiling for the ports, not a duty point. Where a nameplate is worn, the plate count and the connection sizes are usually enough to seperate this build from its neighbours in the series.
