Note: Unit pictured is representative of standard unit and may not exactly depict p/n B85Hx20/1P-SC-M 4x1"(20) as shown on this page.
The B85Hx20/1P-SC-M 4x1"(20) is a 20-plate build of the SWEP B85. The H plate is the obtuse chevron: it gives the most heat transfer per plate and the most pressure drop, so it suits duties where approach temperature matters more than pump head. Reading the string: /1P is single pass; -SC is 316/316L stainless steel plates joined with copper. The closing M is the pressure class: up to 45 bar at 135 C, fatigue tested. The connection field reads 4x1"(20). The B85 plate pack measures 526 x 119 mm (20.71 x 4.69 in) on 470 x 63 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 20-plate unit comes to about 4.8 kg (10.6 lb) dry. The frame is published to 17 m3/h (74.85 GPM) - a port limit rather than a design flow. Where a nameplate is worn, the plate count and the connection sizes are usually enough to separate this build from its neighbours in the series.
