Note: Unit pictured is representative of standard unit and may not exactly depict p/n B86Hx40/1P-SC-M 4x1"&22U(20) as shown on this page.
This is the 40-plate B86: SWEP designation B86Hx40/1P-SC-M 4x1"&22U(20). The H plate is the obtuse chevron: it gives the most heat transfer per plate and the most pressure drop, so it suits duties where approach temperature matters more than pump head. Reading the string: /1P is single pass; -SC is 316/316L stainless steel plates joined with copper. The closing M is the pressure class: up to 45 bar at 135 C, fatigue tested. It is catalogued with 4x1"&22U(20) connections. The B86 plate pack measures 526 x 119 mm (20.71 x 4.69 in) on 470 x 63 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 40-plate unit comes to about 7.6 kg (16.7 lb) dry. The frame is published to 9 m3/h (39.63 GPM) - a port limit rather than a design flow. Thermal performance depends on the duty as much as on the part number, so include the fluids if the unit is going into a new application.
