Description
P80x40 designates a SWEP P80 brazed plate heat exchanger with 40 plates in the pack. The P80 plate pack measures 526 x 119 mm (20.71 x 4.69 in) on 470 x 63 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 40-plate unit comes to about 10.4 kg (22.8 lb) dry. Maximum flow for the frame is 16.9 m3/h (74.41 GPM); that is a ceiling for the ports, not a duty point. For a new duty, send the inlet temperature on each side and the flows, and we will say immediately whether this plate count is the right one.
