Note: Unit pictured is representative of standard unit and may not exactly depict p/n B427Lx136/1P-SC-S 4xDN100C cs as shown on this page.
This is the 136-plate B427: SWEP designation B427Lx136/1P-SC-S 4xDN100C cs. The L plate is the acute chevron, which gives up some heat transfer per plate for a lower pressure drop - the usual answer when the available head is small. The /1P-SC fields read as single pass, with 316/316L stainless steel plates and a copper braze. The closing S is the pressure class: 31 bar at 155 C. The connection field reads 4xDN100C cs. The B427 plate pack measures 694 x 304 mm (27.32 x 11.97 in) on 567 x 179 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 136-plate unit comes to about 110.8 kg (244.2 lb) dry. The frame is published to 155.5 m3/h (684.65 GPM) - a port limit rather than a design flow. Where a nameplate is worn, the plate count and the connection sizes are usually enough to seperate this build from its neighbours in the series.
