B15THx20

The B15THx20 is a 20-plate build of the SWEP B15T. The H plate is the obtuse chevron: it gives the most heat transfer per plate and the most pressure drop, so it suits duties where approach temperature matters more than pump head. The B15T plate pack measures 468 x 76 mm (18.43 x 2.99 in) on 432 x 40 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 20-plate unit comes to about 3.3 kg (7.3 lb) dry. The frame is published to 4 m3/h (17.61 GPM) - a port limit rather than a design flow. For a new duty, send the inlet temperature on each side and the flows, and we will say immediately whether this plate count is the right one.
