Note: Unit pictured is representative of standard unit and may not exactly depict p/n B15THx40/1P-SC-M 4x3/4" as shown on this page.
This is the 40-plate B15T: SWEP designation B15THx40/1P-SC-M 4x3/4". The H plate is the obtuse chevron: it gives the most heat transfer per plate and the most pressure drop, so it suits duties where approach temperature matters more than pump head. Reading the string: /1P is single pass; -SC is 316/316L stainless steel plates joined with copper. The closing M is the pressure class: up to 45 bar at 135 C, fatigue tested. The connection field reads 4x3/4". The B15T plate pack measures 468 x 76 mm (18.43 x 2.99 in) on 432 x 40 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 40-plate unit comes to about 5.4 kg (11.9 lb) dry. Maximum flow for the frame is 4 m3/h (17.61 GPM); that is a ceiling for the ports, not a duty point. If the flow on either side would excede the published ceiling, the answer is a larger frame, not more plates on this one.
