Note: Unit pictured is representative of standard unit and may not exactly depict p/n B8THx30/1P-SC-M 2x3/4"INT HEX(20)+2x1/2"INT HEX(20) as shown on this page.
This is the 30-plate B8T: SWEP designation B8THx30/1P-SC-M 2x3/4"INT HEX(20)+2x1/2"INT HEX(20). The H plate is the obtuse chevron: it gives the most heat transfer per plate and the most pressure drop, so it suits duties where approach temperature matters more than pump head. Reading the string: /1P is single pass; -SC is 316/316L stainless steel plates joined with copper. The closing M is the pressure class: up to 45 bar at 135 C, fatigue tested. Connections are listed as 2x3/4"INT HEX(20)+2x1/2"INT HEX(20), in port order. The B8T plate pack measures 317 x 76 mm (12.48 x 2.99 in) on 278 x 40 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 30-plate unit comes to about 3.1 kg (6.8 lb) dry. Maximum flow for the frame is 4 m3/h (17.61 GPM); that is a ceiling for the ports, not a duty point. For a new duty, send the inlet temperature on each side and the flows, and we will say immediatly whether this plate count is the right one.
