Description
B12Hx40 designates a SWEP B12 brazed plate heat exchanger with 40 plates in the pack. Its H plates are the high-theta pattern - the choice when the leaving temperature is tight and the pump has head to spare. The B12 plate pack measures 287 x 117 mm (11.3 x 4.61 in) on 234 x 63 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 40-plate unit comes to about 4.6 kg (10.2 lb) dry. The frame is published to 16.9 m3/h (74.41 GPM) - a port limit rather than a design flow. Treat each side as an independent circuit when you ask for a quote: give both flows and what each fluid is.
