Note: Unit pictured is representative of standard unit and may not exactly depict p/n B85Hx70/1P-SC-M 4x1 1/4"&28U as shown on this page.
The B85Hx70/1P-SC-M 4x1 1/4"&28U is a 70-plate build of the SWEP B85. The H plate is the obtuse chevron: it gives the most heat transfer per plate and the most pressure drop, so it suits duties where approach temperature matters more than pump head. The /1P-SC fields read as single pass, with 316/316L stainless steel plates and a copper braze. The closing M is the pressure class: up to 45 bar at 135 C, fatigue tested. It is catalogued with 4x1 1/4"&28U connections. The B85 plate pack measures 526 x 119 mm (20.71 x 4.69 in) on 470 x 63 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 70-plate unit comes to about 11.7 kg (25.7 lb) dry. The frame is published to 17 m3/h (74.85 GPM) - a port limit rather than a design flow. Depth is the one dimension that changes across the plate counts of a series, so measure the space behind the unit before moving to a larger pack.
