B120THx50 designates a SWEP B120T brazed plate heat exchanger with 50 plates in the pack. The H plate is the obtuse chevron: it gives the most heat transfer per plate and the most pressure drop, so it suits duties where approach temperature matters more than pump head. The B120T plate pack measures 525 x 243 mm (20.67 x 9.57 in) on 456 x 174 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 50-plate unit comes to about 28.5 kg (62.9 lb) dry. Maximum flow for the frame is 27.4 m3/h (120.64 GPM); that is a ceiling for the ports, not a duty point. Thermal performance depends on the duty as much as on the part number, so include the fluids if the unit is going into a new application.
