Description
B15THx40 designates a SWEP B15T brazed plate heat exchanger with 40 plates in the pack. Its H plates are the high-theta pattern - the choice when the leaving temperature is tight and the pump has head to spare. The B15T plate pack measures 468 x 76 mm (18.43 x 2.99 in) on 432 x 40 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 40-plate unit comes to about 5.4 kg (11.9 lb) dry. The frame is published to 4 m3/h (17.61 GPM) - a port limit rather than a design flow. For a new duty, send the inlet temperature on each side and the flows, and we will say immediately whether this plate count is the right one.
