B15THx30/1P-SC-Y 4x3/4"

This is the 30-plate B15T: SWEP designation B15THx30/1P-SC-Y 4x3/4". The H plate is the obtuse chevron: it gives the most heat transfer per plate and the most pressure drop, so it suits duties where approach temperature matters more than pump head. The /1P-SC fields read as single pass, with 316/316L stainless steel plates and a copper braze. The connection field reads 4x3/4". The B15T plate pack measures 468 x 76 mm (18.43 x 2.99 in) on 432 x 40 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 30-plate unit comes to about 4.4 kg (9.6 lb) dry. The frame is published to 4 m3/h (17.61 GPM) - a port limit rather than a design flow. For a new duty, send the inlet temperature on each side and the flows, and we will say immediately whether this plate count is the right one.
