Note: Unit pictured is representative of standard unit and may not exactly depict p/n B5Hx10/1P-SN-M 4x3/4"&16 as shown on this page.
B5Hx10/1P-SN-M 4x3/4"&16 designates a SWEP B5 brazed plate heat exchanger with 10 plates in the pack. The H plate is the obtuse chevron: it gives the most heat transfer per plate and the most pressure drop, so it suits duties where approach temperature matters more than pump head. The /1P-SN fields read as single pass, with Stainless steel plates and a nickel alloy, copper free braze. The closing M is the pressure class: up to 45 bar at 135 C, fatigue tested. Connections are listed as 4x3/4"&16, in port order. The B5 plate pack measures 187.5 x 72.5 mm (7.38 x 2.85 in) on 154 x 40 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 10-plate unit comes to about 0.9 kg (2.0 lb) dry. The frame is published to 4 m3/h (17.61 GPM) - a port limit rather than a design flow. Where a nameplate is worn, the plate count and the connection sizes are usually enough to seperate this build from its neighbours in the series.
