Note: Unit pictured is representative of standard unit and may not exactly depict p/n B8THx10/1P-SC-M 2x3/4"INT HEX+2x1/2"INT HEX as shown on this page.
This is the 10-plate B8T: SWEP designation B8THx10/1P-SC-M 2x3/4"INT HEX+2x1/2"INT HEX. The H plate is the obtuse chevron: it gives the most heat transfer per plate and the most pressure drop, so it suits duties where approach temperature matters more than pump head. The /1P-SC fields read as single pass, with 316/316L stainless steel plates and a copper braze. The closing M is the pressure class: up to 45 bar at 135 C, fatigue tested. The connection field reads 2x3/4"INT HEX+2x1/2"INT HEX. The B8T plate pack measures 317 x 76 mm (12.48 x 2.99 in) on 278 x 40 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 10-plate unit comes to about 1.6 kg (3.5 lb) dry. The frame is published to 4 m3/h (17.61 GPM) - a port limit rather than a design flow. If the flow on either side would excede the published ceiling, the answer is a larger frame, not more plates on this one.
