This is the 20-plate BX8T: SWEP designation BX8THx20. The H plate is the obtuse chevron: it gives the most heat transfer per plate and the most pressure drop, so it suits duties where approach temperature matters more than pump head. The BX8T plate pack measures 315 x 73 mm (12.4 x 2.87 in) on 278 x 40 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 20-plate unit comes to about 2.0 kg (4.5 lb) dry. The frame is published to 4 m3/h (17.61 GPM) - a port limit rather than a design flow. For a new duty, send the inlet temperature on each side and the flows, and we will say immediately whether this plate count is the right one.
