E8THx40/1P-SC-S 4x3/4"(20)

The E8THx40/1P-SC-S 4x3/4"(20) is a 40-plate build of the SWEP E8T. Its H plates are the high-theta pattern - the choice when the leaving temperature is tight and the pump has head to spare. Reading the string: /1P is single pass; -SC is 316/316L stainless steel plates joined with copper. The closing S is the pressure class: 31 bar at 155 C. Connections are listed as 4x3/4"(20), in port order. The E8T plate pack measures 315 x 73 mm (12.4 x 2.87 in) on 278 x 40 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 40-plate unit comes to about 3.5 kg (7.7 lb) dry. The frame is published to 4 m3/h (17.61 GPM) - a port limit rather than a design flow. For a new duty, send the inlet temperature on each side and the flows, and we will say immediately whether this plate count is the right one.
