B25THx30/1P-SC-M

B25THx30/1P-SC-M designates a SWEP B25T brazed plate heat exchanger with 30 plates in the pack. The H plate is the obtuse chevron: it gives the most heat transfer per plate and the most pressure drop, so it suits duties where approach temperature matters more than pump head. Reading the string: /1P is single pass; -SC is 316/316L stainless steel plates joined with copper. The closing M is the pressure class: up to 45 bar at 135 C, fatigue tested. The B25T plate pack measures 526 x 119 mm (20.71 x 4.69 in) on 479 x 72 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 30-plate unit comes to about 7.5 kg (16.4 lb) dry. The frame is published to 9 m3/h (39.63 GPM) - a port limit rather than a design flow. For a new duty, send the inlet temperature on each side and the flows, and we will say immediatly whether this plate count is the right one.
