Note: Unit pictured is representative of standard unit and may not exactly depict p/n B80SHx40/1P-SPS-M 4x1 1/4"&28U as shown on this page.
The B80SHx40/1P-SPS-M 4x1 1/4"&28U is a 40-plate build of the SWEP B80S. The H plate is the obtuse chevron: it gives the most heat transfer per plate and the most pressure drop, so it suits duties where approach temperature matters more than pump head. Reading the string: /1P is single pass; -SPS is 316 stainless steel plates joined with stainless, copper free. The closing M is the pressure class: up to 45 bar at 135 C, fatigue tested. Connections are listed as 4x1 1/4"&28U, in port order. The B80S plate pack measures 526 x 119 mm (20.71 x 4.69 in) on 470 x 63 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 40-plate unit comes to about 11.4 kg (25.2 lb) dry. Maximum flow for the frame is 17 m3/h (74.85 GPM); that is a ceiling for the ports, not a duty point. Treat each side as an independant circuit when you ask for a quote: give both flows and what each fluid is.
