B80SHx40/1P-SPS-M 4x1 1/4"&28U(27)

The B80SHx40/1P-SPS-M 4x1 1/4"&28U(27) is a 40-plate build of the SWEP B80S. The H plate is the obtuse chevron: it gives the most heat transfer per plate and the most pressure drop, so it suits duties where approach temperature matters more than pump head. The /1P-SPS fields read as single pass, with 316 stainless steel plates and a stainless, copper free braze. The closing M is the pressure class: up to 45 bar at 135 C, fatigue tested. The connection field reads 4x1 1/4"&28U(27). The B80S plate pack measures 526 x 119 mm (20.71 x 4.69 in) on 470 x 63 mm port centres, and by SWEP's published weight formula a 40-plate unit comes to about 11.4 kg (25.2 lb) dry. Maximum flow for the frame is 17 m3/h (74.85 GPM); that is a ceiling for the ports, not a duty point. It is not necessary to send drawings for a like-for-like replacement - the string above carries the whole build.
