The SWEP DP300 is a dual evaporator on AsyMatrix asymmetric plates, designed for low water-side pressure drop. It is the evaporator counterpart of the DB300 condenser for two-circuit chillers and heat pumps.
Up to 264 GPM of chilled water through a 525 mm tall unit. The DP300 is 525 x 243 mm (20.67 x 9.57 in), is built with up to 346 plates and has a published maximum flow of 60 m3/h (264.17 GPM).
The DP300 trades on water-side pressure drop. Its AsyMatrix plates give asymmetric channels, and SWEP describes the result as low water pressure drop. The DB300 is the condenser with the same approach, and the DP310 is a True Dual evaporator on the same 525 x 243 mm footprint that is optimized for refrigerant performance and published at up to 49 bar. A DP310 is not a substitute for a DP300 simply because they measure alike: the chilled water pump was sized around the DP300's pressure drop. The DP300 is now designated DPD300.
Copper-brazed stainless, with solder and Victaulic on file. SWEP's datasheet lists 304 stainless plates and copper braze, with threaded, Victaulic and solder connections. The configuration on file is material code SC, pressure class M, with 28U and 54.3 refrigerant connections and two 3" Victaulic water connections.
Reading the designation. A DP300 is ordered as a full string, for example DP300x140. The model number guide decodes each field, and the string off the nameplate - whole or partial - is enough to confirm the build.
Best used as a two-circuit chiller evaporator where chilled water pump head is tight.

The DP300 measures 525 x 243 mm (20.67 x 9.57 in) over the plate pack. Connections on the catalogued builds: Threaded, Victaulic, Solder.
SWEP publishes the weight as 7.75 kg plus 0.348 kg per plate, so the plate count off the nameplate sets what the mounting has to carry.
A DP300 replacement must match the connection type, size and position on both refrigerant circuits as well as on the grooved water side. It also has to be the same asymmetric plate, or the water pressure drop will change. Depth increases with plate count, so check the room behind the unit against the count being quoted.
