The SWEP DB650, now designated DBD650, is a True Dual condenser with two refrigerant circuits in one copper-brazed plate pack. SWEP publishes it for chiller, heat pump and single-phase applications.
The DB650 is wider than the 700-series True Dual models and carries more flow. It measures 744.6 x 365.6 mm (29.31 x 14.39 in), is built with up to 346 plates, and has a published maximum flow of 140 m3/h (about 616 GPM).
The DB650 is the condenser in a group where the other dual models are evaporators. The DB700, DP700 and DV700 measure 725 x 302 mm and are published at about 555 GPM; the DB650 is 744.6 x 365.6 mm and about 616 GPM, and it is the one described as a condenser that also covers single-phase duty. The model numbers suggest the DB650 is the smaller unit, and it is not - it is the wider plate with the higher flow ceiling. A 700-series model cannot stand in for a DB650: the footprint and the pipework are different.
316/316L plates, copper braze, up to 49 bar. Plates are 316/316L stainless steel with copper braze, and SWEP publishes pressures up to 49 bar (710 psi) for the model. Connections are published as threaded, Victaulic, solder, flange and weld.
Reading the designation. A DB650 is ordered as a full string, for example DB650x140. The model number guide decodes each field, and the string off the nameplate - whole or partial - is enough to confirm the build.
High-flow dual-circuit condenser for large chillers and heat pumps, also used on single-phase duty.

The DB650 measures 744.6 x 365.6 mm (29.31 x 14.39 in) over the plate pack. Connections on the catalogued builds: Threaded, Victaulic, Solder, Flange, Weld.
SWEP publishes the weight as 14.59 kg plus 0.939 kg per plate, so the plate count off the nameplate sets what the mounting has to carry.
The footprint identifies the model, but a replacement also has to meet the pipe where it stands, so measure the positions of the existing connections and note the type and size of each one, on the water side and on both refrigerant circuits. Depth increases with plate count, and on a unit this size so does the load on the support. Carry the pressure class over from the nameplate as well.
