The SWEP V120T is an evaporator on the B120T frame with a plate pattern developed for long thermal length in a compact size. It is built for evaporation in chillers, heat pumps and economizers across many refrigerants.
A wide, short frame with up to 250 plates. The V120T measures 525 x 243 mm (20.67 x 9.57 in) with port centres of 456 x 174 mm. Maximum plate count is 250 and published max flow is 120.64 GPM (27.4 m3/h).
Read the material code before ordering. The published V120T data gives SMO254 plates with copper braze - code MC, as in the example V120TH/1P-MC-S - while the part numbers on file for this model are all SC, 316 plates, in pressure class M. The siblings on the same 525 x 243 mm outline differ again: the B120T is listed with 304 plates, the F120T and P120T with 316/316L. The mistake is inferring the plate steel from the model name. An MC unit on chloride-bearing water replaced with SC will pit; take the code from the nameplate.
Solder connections, universal sizes on file. The published connection style is solder; the part numbers on file use 22U and 42U refrigerant connections with 2x1 1/2"&35.1 combo water connections. Braze is copper, and the listed approvals are PED, UL and KHK.
Reading the designation. A V120T is ordered as a full string, for example V120THx60/1P-SC-M 22U+42U+2x1 1/2"&35.1. The model number guide decodes each field, and the string off the nameplate - whole or partial - is enough to confirm the build.
Best as a chiller, heat pump or economizer evaporator with the material code matched to the water.

The V120T measures 525 x 243 mm (20.67 x 9.57 in) over the plate pack, with port centres of 456 x 174 mm (17.95 x 6.85 in). Connections on the catalogued builds: Solder.
SWEP publishes the weight as 8.33 kg plus 0.424 kg per plate, so the plate count off the nameplate sets what the mounting has to carry.
Several models share this outline, so the model letter, the material code and the pressure class on the nameplate have to match as well as the dimensions. Check the port centres, the solder size at each refrigerant port and the combo connections on the water side. The pack gets deeper with every plate, so a change in plate count moves the back of the unit.
