The SWEP F120T is a high-performance evaporator on the 120T frame, with 316/316L stainless plates and copper braze. Its plate pattern gives a long thermal length in a compact unit, for chiller and heat pump evaporators and economizers.
A wide plate that builds to 250 plates. The F120T measures 525 x 243 mm (20.67 x 9.57 in), builds up to 250 plates and has a published maximum flow of 27.4 m3/h (120.64 GPM).
Same outline and flow as three other 120T models. The B120T, P120T and V120T are all 525 x 243 mm at 120.64 GPM. What separates them is the prefix and the plate steel: the B120T is 304, the F120T and P120T are 316/316L, and the V120T is SMO254. The F120T and P120T also share the same published description, so only the nameplate tells them apart. The mistake to avoid is substituting on size and flow alone - a long thermal length plate buys a close approach at the cost of pressure drop, and a different model in the same space will not give the same balance.
316/316L plate, copper braze, threaded or solder. SWEP catalogues the F120T with threaded and solder connections. Plates are 316/316L stainless steel with copper brazing, and the published approvals are PED, UL and KHK.
Reading the designation. A F120T is ordered as a full string, for example F120Tx140. The model number guide decodes each field, and the string off the nameplate - whole or partial - is enough to confirm the build.
Best used as a chiller or heat pump evaporator, or an economizer, where a close approach is needed.

The F120T measures 525 x 243 mm (20.67 x 9.57 in) over the plate pack, with port centres of 456 x 174 mm (17.95 x 6.85 in). Connections on the catalogued builds: Threaded, Solder.
SWEP publishes the weight as 9.36 kg plus 0.424 kg per plate, so the plate count off the nameplate sets what the mounting has to carry.
The 120T outline is shared across several models, so the footprint alone does not confirm a match. The port centres, the connection type and size on each port, and the plate count all have to agree with the old unit - depth grows with plate count, and at higher counts the unit is heavy enough to need its own support. Confirm the prefix and the material code from the nameplate.
