The SWEP DV400, now designated DVD400, is a True Dual evaporator with two refrigerant circuits in one copper-brazed plate pack. SWEP publishes it for flexible chillers and climate control.
A 694 x 304 mm evaporator with two refrigerant circuits. The DV400 measures 694 x 304 mm (27.32 x 11.97 in), takes up to 282 plates and has a published maximum flow of 76 m3/h (about 335 GPM).
The DV400 and DS400 read alike on paper and are not the same part. Both are published as True Dual evaporators for flexible chillers and climate control, both measure 694 x 304 mm, and both are limited to about 335 GPM. The letter after the D identifies a different model, and the DP400 is a third - the evaporator optimized for high performance. The V400T shares the footprint and the V but is not a True Dual model, and the DB400 is the condenser. Match all three characters of the prefix, not just the dimensions.
Victaulic and solder connections only. SWEP publishes the DV400 with Victaulic and solder connections. Plates are 316/316L stainless steel with copper braze.
Ordering by the string. Quote a DV400 by its full designation, for example DV400x140 rather than by the model alone - the fields after the model set the plates, materials, pressure class and connections. See the model number guide.

The DV400 measures 694 x 304 mm (27.32 x 11.97 in) over the plate pack, with port centres of 604 x 216 mm (23.78 x 8.50 in). Connections on the catalogued builds: Victaulic, Solder.
SWEP publishes the weight as 21.49 kg plus 0.65 kg per plate, so the plate count off the nameplate sets what the mounting has to carry.
Besides the footprint, the port centres have to line up with the pipework already in the machine, and the connection type has to match - this model is published with Victaulic and solder connections, so a grooved coupling or a brazed joint is waiting on the other side. Both refrigerant circuits need a connection of the right size. Depth increases with plate count, so check the space behind the unit if the plate count is changing.
