The SWEP DP200 is a True Dual evaporator: two refrigerant circuits chilling one water stream in a single brazed plate pack. It serves two-circuit chillers and heat pumps in the 75 to 200 GPM band.
A two-circuit evaporator on the 200-size plate. The DP200 is 525 x 243 mm (20.67 x 9.57 in), takes up to 202 plates and has a published maximum flow of 27 m3/h (118.88 GPM).
DP200 and DV200 are both dual evaporators, and they are not the same unit. Both sit on the 525 x 243 mm footprint with 316/316L plates, copper braze and a 118.88 GPM ceiling, and the DB200 condenser shares those figures as well. The P in the code identifies the plate, so a DP200 is replaced with a DP200. The common error is to treat the three dual models as one family part, order whichever is quoted first and find that the machine no longer holds its evaporating temperature. The DP200 is now designated DPD200.
316/316L plates, copper braze, three connection families. Threaded, Victaulic and solder connections are catalogued for the DP200. With copper in the braze the unit suits the usual refrigerants and water or glycol, and does not suit ammonia or deionized water.
Ordering by the string. Quote a DP200 by its full designation, for example DP200x130 rather than by the model alone - the fields after the model set the plates, materials, pressure class and connections. See the model number guide.
Best used as the chilled-water evaporator on a two-circuit chiller or reversible heat pump.

The DP200 measures 525 x 243 mm (20.67 x 9.57 in) over the plate pack, with port centres of 456 x 174 mm (17.95 x 6.85 in). Connections on the catalogued builds: Threaded, Victaulic, Solder.
SWEP publishes the weight as 9.31 kg plus 0.42 kg per plate, so the plate count off the nameplate sets what the mounting has to carry.
Beyond the footprint, a DP200 replacement has to match on port centres and on the connection type and size of each refrigerant circuit and of the water side. Both circuits must line up with the existing liquid and suction lines. Depth grows with every plate added, so measure the space behind the unit before agreeing to a higher plate count.
